Scott Chevalier, Executive Director

Scott Chevalier is passionate about children and students.  He has often been called the "voice" of Powerhouse.  He continues to share the vision because he believes in our children and the potential for making a positive change in the youth culture.  He is often asked, "Why do you continue to do what you do?"  You will hear a passionate response to that question as Scott often responds, "because we have the opportunity to reach the largest unreached people group in the United States."  He believes in each student and the opportunity for a positive change in their lives.

His experiences are broad from serving in the local church as a youth pastor, youth evangelist, creative arts pastor, executive pastor, and the lead pastor role moving a church plant from a school setting to their own facilities.  He has a bachelor's degree in Communications and Christian Education and has been the executive director of the Powerhouse Youth Project for the past 10 years.  He launched a company in 1993 that serves the Church and school market with audio, video, and lighting equipment and is often a teacher at the McKnight Building group church growth conferences on the use of media in Church.  His company has serviced over 1000 churches in 14 years with their Audio-Visual needs.   He is also a seminar leader each year at the International Children's Pastors Conference.   He also serves on the Nashville Coalition for Children and youth, a collaboration of non-profits working to secure a healthy tomorrow for our children and youth.  He is a panelist for the "town hall meetings" sponsored by the Youth Life Foundation in Nashville Tennessee.

His experience is vital in seeing local non-profits and churches work together to impact children and youth.  His "needs" approach to this generation is an active strategy that is constantly changing based on the needs of the schools and students.    Scott has a vision and a passion to get things done.

He shares the experiences of life with his wife Valerie.  They have been married for 20 years and have two children Zac (age 14) and Peyton (age 10).

Scott enjoys hunting, fishing, going to the movies and of course the Tennessee Titans.
